You'd understand it best if you were in a similar position.
People like to excuse Toriel with bullshit like "UM WOMEN CAN'T LIVE THEIR LIVES YOU HATE WOMEN" but they don't understand there's a time and a place for everything. She could've went to Sans' after making sure Kris is safe and has a meal prepped. Or just did that another time. It's not an excuse for being an ass towards those around you.
