I think I have reached a new level in my SOVL approach.

I think I should separate my story with a framing overworld inspired by kikki movie no conflict storytelling and an inner story with suffering and death.

Honestly what agdg simply needs to make is a game that is just points go higher.
also remember to add some risk and reward because just having no consequences of failure simply creates boredom after 10 minutes of play.
Just add an infinite cheap low risk long machete to cut that requires more button presses and is slower.
And add a high risk axe that doesn't work unless you properly time the hits, but can cut faster.
And add a timer so the game doesn't last forever.
