God this resonates so much. So, my uncle-who's been farming since forever and was all-in on Trump-just told me he's thinking about voting for Kamala Harris. I couldn't believe it. The guy's got a MAGA hat in his truck, for crying out loud! But he said she came to town and actually talked about stuff that matters to them, like fixing their busted internet, getting real healthcare out there, and sticking it to the big corporations screwing over farmers. He goes, "She's the first one who actually seems to get it. Not just running her mouth." And I'm sitting there like, "Holy crap, if you're thinking of flipping, Trump's so screwed." I mean, if someone like my uncle—who's been hardcore Republican his whole life—is even considering jumping ship, Trump's gotta be losing sleep. The dude's base is starting to crack, and if more folks like my uncle switch sides, Trump's not just in trouble—he's totally fucked. 2024's gonna be a shitshow, no doubt. Trump thought he had rural America locked down, but if my uncle's ready to ditch him, he's in for a rude awakening.

I have the same experience. Most republicans I know (friends, coworkers, neighbours) have all told me they regret voting for Trump. He promised lower egg prices, and instead got us into a trade war with our allies, women's and LGBTQ+ rights abolished, a billionaire has seized control of private citizen's data and federal funds, our military is about to invade Gaza (so much for no new wars lel), he's appointed literal traitors to his cabinet, armed ICE agents are raiding schools and children's hospitals, and EGG PRICES HAVENT GONE DOWN.
I know it's hard to admit you're wrong, but Trump is literally one of the biggest mistakes in American history.

I live in a small city in Idaho. People were pretty gung ho at first but now everyone's nervous. People expected trump to step up and announce a plan, not just let Elon run wild. It's the knock on effects people are getting nervous about. Yesterday it's tranny story hour, today it's staff at the Idaho National Laboratory and tomorrow it might be land management. Ranchers are getting nervous. They can't plan ahead, same with the mining companies, and forestry, and what about Micron? The CHIPS act was big news here but it's all in doubt now. Nobody can plan for a future when everyday is a surprise and the guy running things can't be held to account by voters and doesn't give a fuck about what state and local officials have concerns about. Nobody is hiring due to uncertainty the big fear is tomorrow might be firings as companies prepare to weather the storm that has no end in sight... Holy fuck nobody voted for fear like this

Former Trump supporter from coal country here. Been bustin’ knuckles and drinkin’ bottom-shelf bourbon since Bush Sr. Called Biden “Sleepy Joe".

Last week I saw this hand-blown crystal dragon bong from Guangzhou. Had LED eyes and a USB charger. I don’t even smoke anymore—I just needed to feel again.

$112 to order.
$138 in “ceremonial glassware counterbalance fees.” Said it was part of a 2020 “China deterrent initiative” that I once called “genius” on a call-in radio show.

Now I sit on the porch starin’ at the damn thing like it’s judgment made solid. Ate one egg for breakfast. One. Like it’s the Great Depression, but with shame accessories.

Former Trump voter here.

Born and raised in Bootheel, Missouri. I’m a third-generation diesel tech. Drive a Duramax with Punisher decals and a tailgate mural of Jesus body-slamming Karl Marx. Voted Trump like it was a baptism.

So I don’t know what possessed me to order that RGB LED anime mousepad with built-in wrist rest and looping GIF of Hatsune Miku winkin’. Looked slick. Said it’d “elevate my battlestation.”

Base price: $26.99
Tariff punch: $74.60 for “foreign synthetic novelty textile duty” under some clause I literally celebrated on Facebook in 2018.

Unplugged it right after checkin’ my bank account and seein’ what a dozen eggs cost. $6.82. For eggs. In Missouri. I ate ramen and cried into my RGB shame mat.

Oklahoma panhandle here. I was born on red dirt, baptized in diesel, and voted Trump so hard in 2016 I cracked the screen on my voting machine. Hell, I still got a picture of him hangin’ in the shop next to Dale Earnhardt and Jesus.

So when my nephew showed me them Balenciaga Trail Sneakers in neon camo, I figured why not treat myself? They looked like what a future soldier in a civil war might wear to a rave.

Ordered direct from Italy. $895 MSRP. Tariff notice: $312 in “luxury footwear import duties.”

I stared at that number like it shot my dog. Called the customs office and they said it was from Trump’s trade war with the EU—the one I supported while yellin’ about “ownin’ Brussels.”

Now I wear Crocs to the Dollar General and whisper “never again” into the produce cooler.
