not that anon but i also just wanted a nice finale movie. the show was already starting to feel passive and cynical about its own existence by season 6's end. someone once shared an old email from ben when the show was new about how he envisioned a big heartfelt finale, and that old post always made me hold out hope the movie finale would bring everything home and make me like the characters again, more than i had for the past season or more. now the movie is in limbo, getting reworked as a non-followup to the cliffhanger because now the new season is doing that, and we're just getting more tired episodes about burgers and vr chat
