I agree completely but it's very silly to me that they tried to make it a twist. Just have him be a pale, deformed Superman in a crash test summy type version of the Superman suit. Or just go all out with the purple since it's on his suit already.
The pocket dimension was filled with cubes so I'm guessing that'll eventually become Bizarro World

The ending definitely sets up Ultraman as Bizarro Superman, he gets sucked into a parallel dimension with strange cubes and mutant freaks
