Adulthood is realizing General Zod was canonically responsible for less civilian casualties than Superman, and this is a verifiable fact in the movie

>Superman throws Zod through 13 fully packed skyscrapers in Metropolis (the average amount of people in any given skyscraper office is 5,000-10,000 but up to 16,000 is common) putting his death toll at nearly 200,000 just for this act alone
>Superman blows up the entirety of Smallville throwing Zod through buildings, population of Smallville is roughly 45,000 so we can assume around 30,000 are in the main city of it, 20,000 dead to be a small estimate
