First, I'm really sorry for how long this took. I'm not good with release dates.
Second, I'm also sorry in advance for the bugs you'll probably run into, this is still an alpha and this is my first 'big' coding project.

Please read the docs in the Docs folder first, at least the one called 0_API_Configuration. It explains how to set up the API (with examples for OpenRouter, the official Gemini API, etc).
The other docs explain how to add custom characters, place sprites, create schedules, change backgrounds/music, and manage prompts.

If you run into tech issues, bugs (please include a screenshot or copy/paste of the error), or if you're trying to use a source that won't work with the VN, send an email to the burner below:

Some quick points:

- API config and prompt management are still rough and pretty manual. I'll improve it over time.
- SAVE often. It's an alpha, so save whenever you get a good scene or conversation.
- Saving during an AI-generated scene can be buggy. If you load that save, it'll return you to the start of the convo. Best to save while on the map or outside the AI scenes.
- Location is static during scenes. If you're outside Fluttershy's cottage and she invites you in for tea, the background won't change. I'll fix that in future versions, I just want to stabilize what's already here first.
- Same for present characters. If you're in a scene with Trixie and Spike, it'll stay that way. Trying to invite or add new characters mid-scene can break stuff.
- Keep a save from when you finish the main story and enter "sandbox_mode." It's obvious when it happens, so don't worry.

Lastly, if you're not from /chag/, I'd appreciate it if you kept the release contained to the thread/board for now. It's still early and I want it stable before it's shared elsewhere.

It works on my machine, and I hope it runs decently for other anons too. I tested with Gemini, OpenAI, Claude, and Deepseek. My favorites were Gemini and Claude.
In theory, it should work with a local model, but my machine is dogshit so I couldn't really test. The AI does a lot, so you'll probably need a strong one.
