It's called gaslighting. It's a mass manipulation technique that has become normalized over the years on 4chan especially. Most recent example would be the 4chan hack, it happened only a few months ago yet most Anonymous posters will insinuate it's a phenomenon of false collective memory despite being proven guilty of gaslighting through repetition and using moderation tools to ban opinions deemed wrong for "personal reasons".

They perfectly know they're wrong about Si17, as this post mentioned, you cannot get to GM by sheer luck of from getting boosted, a rank where duo doesn't exist and she stays afloat comfortably. We all know this, everybody knows this, a child would reach the same conclusion, it's just how evident it is.

Faced with the indusputable fact, as you have noticed, they will just go silent and pretend it was never pointed out, only to go back to spamming the same baseless and ridiculous accusations in massive repetition after a short while, giving each others positive feedback while the silent mass is noticing the falsehood of this entire ploy more and more everyday, leading to more extreme and hateful comments as they themselves notice how little traction they're getting.
