I found the in-universe explanation hilariously on point: people were getting bored at the usual dinos and the company was struggling to innovate with what they already had, so they struck the genius idea of creating new dinosaurs to entice the public. It's so fucking apt for these soulless psychopathic corps that you have to find it endearing.

That was such a fucking powercreep already. Lee in that moment was as fast as the instances of Minato using Flying Thunder God: in the blink of an eye he went from one place to another (behind Gaara in that case). Not that it wasn't cool as fuck, but just too fucking fast.
