My soul for a classics release on Switch, please.

If they can do what they did with the Game Boy games on 3DS and make them able to transfer to the new games I'll be VERY happy. Gen 3 with transfer that easy would be so nice.

I don't think they dislike it, I think it's just not their own baby and not part of the modern canon (which is true of everything pre-Mega at this point).

Also if you want to be technical, you could argue they acknowledged the Orre games when they gave all ribbons the ability to give the Pokemon a title in Gen 9 (Scarlet and Violet).

Any earned ribbon lets you add a title to a Pokemons name, each ribbon has a unique one. There are two ribbons specific to the Orre games that are still recognised, and their titles are "the Triumphant" (for the National Ribbon which is given to anything that is purified in Colo/XD) and "the 100x Victorious" (for the Earth Ribbon which is given for beating Mt Battle in Colo/XD).

Mario Kart World is kind of a fascinating view into the modern gamer for me.

I love getting a reward for very specific/difficult challenges as much as the next person, but the fact one of the biggest complaints I've seen about MKW is how you don't get rewarded for going out of your way to do the extreme completionist stuff is telling.

So many people saying "the open world is fun and finding things is fun but I wish there was a bigger reward at the end" when the whole point of the open world is to be a novel low-stakes way to engage with the gameplay either on your own time or between races.

Sometimes stuff can just be fun and doesn't need an end goal or progression.
