Why the fuck do consumer rights make burgers seethe so much?

Why do Americans worship Israel so much? No, seriously, why? I just can't even begin to fathom this bizarre obsession Americans have with it, especially Christians (which shouldn't care one bit for it if they actually read the Bible).
