i agree regulations can make things harder for smaller players, but here's the thing

here's a small indie game that has dedicated servers and works just fine, like all games used to work in the past
no small indie dev is going to make some convoluted multi ip crossover GAAS nightmare bullshit that depend on proprietary centralised servers anyway
that is problems big corporations invented to fuck over consumers
also tech positions pay less because for years we pushed people into tech as the new big thing so there's a shitload of supply
