It's pretty sad. I like to contrast him with Spamton. Spamton was thrown in the trash, but was able to become a [Big Shot] within the narrative (and fandom), while Ramb was ultimately discarded by the narrative itself. His narrative role of hinting to the player of the existence of the Weird Route is largely superfluous in the age of the internet and the nature of drawn out episodic content, and us gaining the Shadow Mantle is more often associated with Eram instead of Ramb, despite him being the one to set us on the path to get it.
It'd be nice to see him again in a later chapter, but I won't hold out hope. No one will shed a tear for him, after all.
