When you buy a ticket to an amusement park, the opening hours are right there, and it usually says on the ticket "day pass" or something similar. It's very clear what the time frame is. Some tickets are even season tickets, valid for several months. Again it's all defined. In videogames you have none of that. Buy a "ticket", it could be valid for 30 years, or maybe a week. Who knows?
