You tradlarpers make me laugh. The Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church both simultaneously claim to be the one true and only church Christ founded. Ergo, they are direct rivals and cannot in any capacity coexist. They exist as an if-than statement: if the Roman Catholic Church is the true church, than Orthodoxy is wrong and vice versa. Furthermore, both traditions claim that they alone offer the means of salvation and that anyone outside of their respective tradition is damned to hellfire.

Protestants are the only branch of Christianity even capable of having legitimate ecumenical dialogue because we are the only ones who believe that you don't necessarily have to belong to our particular tradition in order to be saved. We readily recognize that there are good and true Christians amongst the Romans and the Orthodox.
