Yeah my long guns are indisputably the most capable, and that very high capability ceiling lends itself to being optimized, minmaxed, and then left alone. While a handgun is more personal, more subjective, less constrained to the utilitarian by its nature and the form factor brings the smallest qualities into the light while requiring interesting and novel engineering considerations.
