>Assuming those things are galaxies and not just things that look like galaxies
Yeah, you can’t exactly dive in to get a better look. It’s not like Chak threw any at Asura TTGL style so we don’t really know for sure. Personally just going with the context of his statement of resetting everything to say those are galaxies. Hell, if you look closer during the space segment, you even see all the actual smaller stars being sucked into him and before he self-destructs, you see those galaxies coming out of him and filling the background on Mithra’s return trip.
>Pretty sure using Asura as a measuring stick for sizes is more reliable
This is definitely more reasonable though when Asura punched through that big ass moon and Chakravartin, he doesn’t even register as a pixel against them so I’d say it’s as close as they’ll get to multi-galaxy size without making the entire segment look extremely weird.

When it comes to less egregious examples then context and feats become way more way vital in determining the validity of the statements. For your example with Kirby, if an opponent is given universal/multiversal statements, then their feats need to be taken into account as well. From there it really just comes down to how much sufficient evidence is shown to justify the statement scaling, there should be a noticeable balance. Otherwise Kirby is shown to be obviously stronger than planet or star level but he’s stuck in a weird limbo relying on his opponent statement scaling for him to get higher without proof.
Though it pops up often, AW ironically works well to prove universal scaling (one of the very rare but notable statements in the game) through its feats. Chakravartin says he’ll destroy and remake the “world” (which in the context of what he does meaning the universe). He sits himself far away in space and appears to be sucking in the surrounding the galaxies. When he dies, galaxies comes out and the explosion results in the appearance of many more. In that case, we don’t see a universe being destroyed in one move, but it was in the process of being destroyed nonetheless, proving what Chakravartin said was correct. He can destroy the universe and that means he would remake it after as well. Asura has never directly destroyed a galaxy but given the context of what Chakravartin was doing and how Asura went on to beat a MUCH stronger form of the statue (as well as being able to break the statue beforehand) destroying the universe, then you can sufficiently put Asura at a lowball multi-galaxy to universal level (especially given he can grow much stronger than the final form of Chakravartin).
So really when you get higher with the use of statement scaling, context and feats become more important to prove those statements to a certain degree.

>Like no offense to asurabros here but it has a relatively small fanbase, if something big like DC, Marvel, or Dragon Ball got humiliated by islandleveltos shitposting would reach new heights
None taken. In general, it’s not always so bad to have a small fanbase. Asura was sacrificed (albeit unfortunately), but the upside is more people can see how much deranged “lore” wanking you need to get someone like Kratos past planet level, much less above where Asura is at. For example, Asura easily broke the Chakravartin’s statue’s head in destructor form with a single punch. The video shown was what that statue (a MUCH weaker state of Chakravartin) was doing at the end. Yes, those are galaxies coming out of it at the beginning (since Chakravartin said he was destroying and remaking the universe). That explosion afterwards with all the white sparkling things shooting out at the end, those were galaxies as well.
I cannot tell you the amount of cope one needs to say with a straight face that Kratos beats that. The absolute dissonance between actual feats and “statements” in KratoSura is ridiculously absurd. You can see it in how reliant the Kratos segment was with having him beat “a guy who did a thing that looks nowhere near impressive as anything in AW, but this one flowery sentence in this novel says it was universal+++!”. Also there was practically no mention of any actual feats Kratos did on his own outside of beating other people up. Then you compare Asura’s segment and it’s pretty cut and clear they have Asura DOING SHIT that doesn’t involve “I beat this guy so I leech off him and become universal+++”, like the part with Asura the Destructor destroying planets and stars, because how can they fucking not? It’s Asura, the guy with a shitload of insane visual feats to pick from (all from a 7 hour game).
Basically, Kratos beating a top tier DC, Marvel or DB character will mindbreak a hell of lot more people than Krasura did.
