I did not know that Tails' blue eyes came from his cameo in CD, that's pretty cool!

I guess he's the first character to have eye color (except American Eggman but his red/black eyes aren't canon)

Oh cool! I assumed they were in the manga because of that drawing Oshima made of them next to Sonic, Vector and Sharps, which is similar to those other character drawings Oshima made for the manga itself

Also Yamaguchi ended up joining the CD team after finishing his work in Sonic 2, so it would make sense that he played a role in Metal's creation. Especially when you consider both Mecha Sonic I and Metal Sonic look similar
