>Jeb introduces a vote for a mob to be added in a future update
>The actual vote took place an hour before the winner was picked
>Everyone picked the phantom thinking it was a stingray
>The actual water mob was A
>They didn't explain the mobs at Minecon of that year
>Phantom is near universally reviled, option to turn them off added later
>Next year, biome vote
>Desert, Savannah and Taiga are the picks
>Desert has a lot going for it, as does the Savannah
>Everyone picks Taiga because of foxes
>Foxes can't be tamed
>This was in 2018
>More votes take place each year, two mobs are shelved
>Updates are smaller and smaller
>People catch on
>The breaking point was the armadillo adding armor for dogs, everyone coping that the armor was going to lead to better dog AI
>...and it doesn't, just makes your dumb mutt take more hits
>They actually intended to do fifty years of updates and a mob vote each time
>Copper Golem pops up last week
Never mind the stuff like the glow squid and Allay or the obvious winner like the Sniffer, the mob vote has been a disaster since 2018.

>Update after that vote added tuff blocks and copper blocks
>Neither of the respective golems got added because...?
That's when I fully gave up on vanilla. The Copper Golem especially was a classic design and the faggots voted for the Allay because they thought it was gonna find them diamonds early on.

Mojang does that shit too often, not properly explaining what a mob does until after it gets voted in.
