1 is great but I prefer 2. Not sure why you mention lies of P since they're nothing alike but you'll see that very quickly when you get into the meat of it. Since these games can be such big time sinks (each one introduces new mechanics with every ng+ cycle) I'd recommend playing 2. I got almost 400 hours out of nioh 2 across 2 characters before I even went back to try 1
