It's more of an issue for the really long running ones though, most weekly shonen start and finish in like 5 years tops but the ones that drag on longer than 10 years are just more prone to issues. There's outliers like HxH but that's not really a weekly. I have a hunch that weekly shonen manga are kind of hard to write and draw at the same time unless you had a ton of time to map things out beforehand
