Unlike rifles that can for the most part be a one size fits all approach and for the most part appease the vast majority of people pistols are a very personal thing as everyone has different requirements and hand sizes.
Of course I'd say the bare minimum for any modern duty or ccw pistol it should at the very least not go shooting peoples dicks off when holstered.
