never forget the 360 was never successful
it had a 36% PLUS failure rate in the first year and less than 2 year warranty for years and years plus came out a year before ps3
xbox stopped reporting sales numbers when the ps3 over took it in sales that same generation
also a majority of sales were in usa. where playstation outsold the 360 but also never had any serious competition in europe or japan or any other rmarket from the 360
