Yeah it won't work they'll just flee, i think you forget how large your land-border really is. not to mention the sea. landlocked countries can do that. but there's gonna be plenty of people taking money to ferry you over to Mexico or Canada. beyond that emigration is already violently happening across the west. so it's a moot point.
If the USA really wants a war in like a year or two against Chyna they're just gonna throw the Philippines against them.
