yah that seems like the shine particules could really not distribute well. Ive had some success with aircan chrome which a lot of the knights in the image started off with.
Pic related are some bloodborne minis im working on atm. Like I said above, I want to do a 17th-18th century looking barbatos. which will also require some scultping/3d printing work.
