the models are too good. if they had good rules too everyone would just play gitz, the whole game would be gitz vs gitz lol

on a serious note, they arent unplayable, but it is very clear someone on the writing team responsible for gitz fucking hates them. they do have a few very good units like boingrot bounders and squig herd, and the trolls are alright, but like, all of their new wolves are bad, mangler squigs are bad, spiders are bad, the spellcasters are a joke and their lores are garbage and it seems worse in this edition than its ever been.

it says a lot about the army that its best units are the ironjawz hurtlin hogs regiment of renown and kragnos

collect the army, its an amazing range, just understand going in that you are in for an uphill battle fighting against the rules, and gitz have kind of always been that way, but it is especially noticeable this edition

mostly the lack of customization for characters and subfactions. everything else would be tolerable for me if they just legalized the anvil of apotheosis for regular play.

however, they did make some warscrolls completely unplayable for no reason and that is an unforgivable sin
