This is a wild situation to be in. Basically long story short, my parents are locking in my arranged marriage next year. I thought I could bow out from sheer embarassment because I'm a NEET bum at 28 (not actually a NEET but basically failed in my career)

They are in absolute panic mode and are choosing to proceed anyway and I'm like "with what money?" and they were like "with debt if we have too" and thats when I realized - holy fuck , short of running away there is no getting out of this.

The problem is my IT credentials (not even a bachelors in CS) are basically worthless in this market and especially where I live, they said the only way I get more time is if I find a good job and basically its time to properly save up for the actual wedding. Im actually trying to basically pivot out of tech entirely on the lowkey but stringing them along because I'd be homeless without their support. I have about 6.5Y of work experience since high school but in retail / typical college kid shit.
