The Devs have to do what management tells them to do. If Epic demands that they have to ship a game with Lumen and RT, it means they can't use their own lighting engine developed inhouse or a more performance friendly lighting code. UE5 Lumen is a massive drag on performance and it gets baked in with the post-processing affects within the game. It's extremely noticeable in Stalker 2.
