Coping+Wishful thinking

Bobby "Toby" Fox's games aren't exactly known for deep branching narratives or vast variability. They offer a few paths. And it's not like they feature morally gray choices.

It's obvious—this is the path where you become the absolute evil, forging your own demise with your own hands. Everything is clear as day.

You’ll choose from the allowed options, and they’ll lead you to a tragic end if you’ve already set foot on the snowgrave route.

She was literally mentally broken by the horror you instilled in her with the fact that she sent her friend into a coma. She literally has Stockholm syndrome and just doesn’t know what to do with it yet. But she definitely doesn’t like it.

It seems pretty obvious where this is all heading. The main theme of this path is freedom. And who’s taking away that freedom? YOU.

It’s clear that she REALLY likes Kris. Kris, not you, because the moment he shows up for even a single day, she’s ready to become the mother of his children.

You’re standing in the way of their happiness. And that’s why YOU need to be eliminated. Obviously, this route is about the characters fighting against YOU and your tyranny as the player.

> We're making Noelle into our puppet
No.
The idea is that the strange route is about the cost of power. (You) make the character stronger, but at what price? Is it worth it?

This route will let (you) gain the most powerful spells, the strongest skills, and the best equipment, making the game significantly easier. But it will also make (you) a villain in the eyes of the characters. They will hate (you) and, in the end, destroy (you) thanks to the power (you) helped them build. And they’ll have enough strength to save the world without (you). It’s all very balanced and narratively smooth. The thirst for limitless power and control will unite the exploited against the exploiter, and using his own tools, he will be destroyed. It’s a classic.

Kris hates (you) by the way.
