Okay, denial trolling is in full effect. Marginally more original than slur spamming, but also considering more smug and condescending. How very Berdly, I suppose.

Berdly literally states that he's fighting for ignorance and stupidity, and he's treating the appellation of idiot as a compliment. That could not be more clearly him performing a basic value inversion and treating low intelligence as a virtue. Berdly is going too far from what Susie explained, which is that you *can be a dumbass* and still be liked and accepted. Not that being a dumbass is better or necessary, which unfortunately is mostly how he behaves after that point.

>"why can Noelle do the exact same thing as Berdly"
... Treat being smart as grounds for lording it over others? Or treat being dumb as a good thing to be liked? Noelle's never done any of these things, anon-kun, which contributes to why she's not cringe-inducing like Berdly.

>Why is one's character arc more valuable than the other's?
Because one character grows massively more than the other? Noelle is established as a dangerously submissive ultra-doormat, yet by the end she has the guts to stand up to Queen, tell her how she really feels, and say no to her gaslighting and domineering behaviours. That's phenomenal growth, in a way that... going from "I'm the Smartopian Light Nerd" to "Let's fight for ignorance, also Susie definitely fancies me" just isn't.

My headcanon for Berdly's surname is Branches. Don't ask me why.
