>You're confusing cause and effect.
You are.
>The ability to run huge deficits [..] is a FEATURE of fiat currency.
A feature of capitalism. Capitalism is fiat currency or even fictional fiat currency as legal tender.
Ignoring waste, what's the difference between the government continually borrowing (mostly fictional) fiat currency into existence and circulation from banks and perpetually rolling its debt to banks over and the private sector doing the same thing?
In capitalism, without borrowing, there's no legal tender supply growth.
Without legal tender supply growth, there's no financial profit for the for-financial-profit operated economy of capitalism.
>Hard money prevents this
Hard money prevents capitalism. Which is why it always gets supplemented with fictional money (fiat currency) as acceptable, spendable fiat currency.
>because there is a FINITE supply, and when the supply gets tight,
1. Circulating supply or the total supply?
2. Without fiat currency, the supply is always tight because there is no money for profits without constantly creating more money at an ever accelerating rate.
>interest rates rise which acts as a natural equilibrium mechanism to constrict uneconomic expansion.
Passive income, including from interest, is anti-civilisation.
>Similarly, using a gold or silver standard for internatiional trade prevents massive trade imbalances
This we can agree on. But only if the payment is in physical turned over.
>that we see with the USA. If you need to pay physical gold/silver for your international trade, your exports NEED to at least balance your imports.
Unless you mine massive amounts of gold every year.
>run a surplus,
Exporting the problem of no money for profits.
>but you CANNOT run deficits or you run out of gold/silver.
You can if you allow claims to/receipts for gold or silver to be used in lieu of.
>It's worked for centuries.
lol, no. It's never worked. Always goes fiat currency.

It blows my mind that millions of men marry women that have done this and so much worse with who knows how many other men. Men used to get dowries to marry virgins and now you're lucky if you get a girl that's only had like 3 or 4 "serious" relationships and all the emotional baggage and memories that that entails
