Too many "fuck it, just kill each other" team games
Season 1 had Red Light Green Light, Dalgona, and (whilst heavily RNG dependent and got fucked around with too much by the VIPs going full retard) the glass bridge were all ones that can be beaten by one person just staying calm and figuring it out and have a chance for 100% completion rate. And the skill ceiling is low enough for all of them, even Dalgona, that anyone could beat it. The other games ended up being ones that cruelly see 50% of the people get eliminated, sure. But Marbles and Squid Game were 1v1s, so you were still in charge of your own fate by outplaying an opponent. Tug of War was the only one where you could get fucked over by getting stuck with shitters, but it even shows that you can outplay people if you get the fundamentals right and a strong anchor.
But Season 2+3 was just loaded with games designed to whittle people down fast and have your fate completely out of your own hands, with added little bits of bullshit like "ah, ah, ah, it doesn't count if you don't press the button lol" or skill games so high level that most people wouldn't even be able to do them even without a gun pointing in their back. It takes away any interesting individual dynamics and mad lad moves, and just results in a lot of people getting shanked for shock value or someone dying because they got pushed over by some asshole.
