I agree with everything you said except for this. Rarijack is meh. Rarity is great don't get me wrong but AJ is just so damn boring. AJ doesn't add much to the relationship. Rarity carries that dynamic on her back.
And I don't like that AJ attacked Rarity in AJ and Rarity leave Ponyville when Rarity is the one who showed no desire to harm Applejack.

Random pony murder is normal in this setting. Whats not OK is harming your friend/partner especially when they're confessing and being vulnerable.
