Comparing Flora to Trixie is wrong and based only on looks and is probably a deliberate misdirection from Tamers, Her role within the show is far closer to Candace, both are initially shown as being markedly more wholesome than the rest of the cast and have very odd flashes between a positive and negative attitude towards the people around them.
Flora during the suspension episode is shown to be taking active steps to become closer to her sister, living in the apartment across from her window and such, but also asks "when will you finally get out of my life?" Among many other examples of her weird behaviour.
Candace is irrationally attached to Shining but immediately assumes he didn't get her a present after her gift falls flat, and defends his honour in a fight but complains about not being helped and says she isn't surprised.

Expect Candace's good qualities to be deconstructed in the same way that Flora's were.

She started to be interesting and then her story arc got cut short due to outside constraints, so she remains in a perpetual state of unrealized potential. She was a child with no actual special traits of real value that weren't better done by anyone else and her entire narrative only existed because the school narrative came to be which isn't a thing here. Cozy glow is just flat out disconnected from everyone else and even if you were to say Chrysalis, Tamers version of her wouldn't want much to do with her since half the reason they even team up in the show is discord orchestrates a 4 person team up. To have her around means to try and find something for her to do, something he's not even done with characters with more options than her.

Everything you listed to not being known was known or was never a thing because it wasn't ever important because the later seasons were indeed that shallow much like many of how the latter films also handled the writing the six or even how Starlight's origin worked. Some characters are in fact that shallow and even glimmer was one of them but what makes her appealing is her abilities and connections to others.
