after they removed this bullshit (surfing, hugs) it's pretty straight forward. use the environment and be clever with pathing (so-called bump logic) to force pallets or get hits. it's also really easy to get hits in between pallets as well. some tiles your power is useless, get the pallet down quickly and then go from there.
it's easiest to hit a survivor by getting close to them, turning vaguely towards them, and hitting m1. he's got a very wide short lived semi-circle hitbox at the start of his attack that basically makes it impossible for survivors to juke a hit when you get directly on them.
for hits around bends, flick your camera before swinging, and then continue turning through the swing to maximize the amount of curvature. in general it's good to know that when you swing you instantly redirect your momentum in the direction you're looking.
speed addons are very good and make blight able to do a lot more
