I think I smell bait, but the orchestral themes work because they’re inoffensive. They serve to showcase the cast and creators while also providing a sense of tone for the show to come. Star Trek has never gotten ladies wet(unless they’re the fat hogs who show up at conventions), but faith of the heart is distracting and doesn’t really tell you what the shows about at all. Sure it fits the theme of exploration, but it gives you no sense of the slower paced science fiction you might be about to watch.
