No, they aren't, you can have the faction without 'droths and it still works, you can have the faction without the fire theme and it still works, the only thing you can't remove is them being dwarf berserkers.
names aren't definitions, they're names, flanderising the faction around fire is a sure way to kill any creative option for it, just as much as it would be to flanderise their looks and culture exclusively around what a dwarf slayer was in the old world.
