i do believe there will be a period of instability followed by a period of abundance. if ai takes all the jobs, that means AI is in the economy. AI can revolutionize the economy, and grow it very fast. AGI will be superhuman in all intellectual tasks.
it would be truly evil and so in-character if the elites hamstring AI just enough so it delivers the moribund 1-2pc growth in GDP we have today. or if they attach UBI requirements to some kind of hole-digging job, ensuring everyone who doesnt want to work had to work anyway. also very much in character for the Davos people.
