Because they represent what's wrong with modern games industry - simplified or nonexisting gameplay on mobile platforms, heavily advertised, filled to the max with microtransactions, designed to be as much addictive and manipulative as possible, preying on lowest needs of their supposed playerbase.and convincing suits that this is the future of the industry because whales are throwing tons of money on their fucking PNG waifus so suits are killing existing series by trying to turn them into gacha.

Better question would be - how can you NOT hate gacha?
