The real answer is long and complex but basically it comes down to alienation. Socially, physically, spiritually and economically.
The ladder has been pulled up by previous generations of men, there are no real role models which is something men need to thrive, all challenge is meaningless struggle, masculinity has been vilified and usurped by a parody of itself, and the expectations for men, especially economically, are decades out of date compared to their opportunities.
This whole "manosphere" cope misunderstands a fundamental aspect of the issue and feeds into it. You can laugh at the people falling for the snake oil salesman all you want, if you don't understand why they're succeeding then you're equally as clueless as the people who are buying their shit.

The majority of trans people who these people do not represent simply needs to say "hey this person is fucked up" instead of defending their own out of some non-existent obligation, which is exactly what has been happening for 10 years. And when it's not out right defense it's either deflection or implying the person isn't a real trans.
It's no different than Catholics and their priests. This whole "we need to get ahead of it or control the narrative" attitude is why trannies are an easy target for calling predators, just as it was with Catholics. Don't let people use being trans as some kind of shield. Treat them the same way that everybody else does.
Not that it matters much because it is mostly too late, trannies were tricked too much and now they're in an unwinnable position until they're driven to silence and can reset.
