I can daily carry a handgun though. I cannot daily carry my maverick 88, supernova, or le6920 to work, especially not in scrubs in the medical field. They serve much different roles. I also can't just draw a shotgun quickly when met with an immediate threat at a gas station or something. Handguns are there when you need them.
In fact, I also couldn't carry an m9 in scrubs. Or my lcr, or my p238 without printing. My only actually usable option is my .22 mag black widow, as it's small enough to pocket carry in scrubs without worrying about printing. It's also what I carry in my shorts at home, but it's just for peace of mind to break contact and get me to my shotgun if someone were to break in fast enough for me to need to use it.
