I remember when Y'shtola had a personality for 5 seconds, than Yoshi P got mad and made sure that would never happen again, because in Yoshida's mind, a character who is a "serious" character can NEVER have an unserious moment.
>Yoshida on that Y’shtola scene: “I really was at a loss what to do… There was a part of me that felt, aren’t we getting a bit carried away here? One point we pay attention to is not to turn Y’shtola into a joke. For sure, within the community, you’ve got things like people calling her ‘mummy’, but it would be wrong to indulge that. Properly speaking we should handle Y’shtola’s character properly, and I don’t much like just drawing on this one character trait. So, I felt this is the breaking point and we shouldn’t go further than this. By the way, I hear Y’shtola’s voice actor Kayano Ai performed a lot of different takes on this scene.” He continued: “I’m thinking we should stop breaking the characters any more than this. This time, it ended up with Y’shtola having a magical girl phase where she was self-consciously cute [laughs bitterly].”

Too much of the recent shit has been focused on tranny savage raiders. Despite the high amounts of faggotry in the game, the majority of players were not savage raiders. This might change now that droves of people are unsubbing, but I played since ARR and rarely ever did savage. It simply takes too much time and most of my friends didn't want to do it. The content has limited appeal to most players. It's absolute retardation to focus resources on something at most 10% of the playerbase does (and that's being generous). The game was lacking good content for normal people and now this expansion pushed that to the fullest they can. This is why so many left. It's why the game will likely go into maintenance mode from here on out as I don't feel like they want to save it.
I'll still stand by what I said for years now. Endwalker should have been the end. There's no reason to keep dragging the game out. If they weren't stupid, they would have made a new MMO with an engine that isn't shit. Now they're fucked because their MMO is dying AND they don't have a new one in the works.
That being said, I'd still fuck the shit out of Ryne

>Also, producer Yoshida is doing several jobs at the same time, and some people think he is too busy to concentrate on Final Fantasy 14, but I believe that the work he is currently doing at the same time will definitely be useful as experience for Final Fantasy 14.
So the game is in trouble but instead of being laser focused the Producer and Director of the game is still busy off on other games? What a bunch of retards Square Enix are, people aren't going to sit around with their thumbs up their asses waiting for that experience Yoshida is gaining from working on other games to somehow manifest itself. They'll leave because they see the game is directionless and they are leaving.
