Has anyone told anyone who uses those lines that swords to plowshares and lightning bolt have been part of the game since 1993? It's almost like the game is not designed for those """people""" and they should go back to whatever shit they were doing before instead of ruining other people's hobbies.

>it's just a dumb rule shark interaction that's super unintuitive to newer players
Newer players can learn the rules and have them explained to them. Learning rules is part of the game. The main appeal of MTG over other TCG's used to be that it had more complex and interesting rules that lead to more game states and ways to play than other TCG's while at least in the past, being balanced enough that deck design didn't devolve into OTK like Yugioh except in very few cases that have been banned from most formats except vintage. Now it's just as bad as Yugioh in STANDARD while the game is actively being dumbed down for aggro babies who don't like the ruleset or the gameplay around interactions and just want to tap cardboard on turn 3 for a win.
>can occasionally lead to some bizarre game states
>bizarre game states
Nothing bizarre about any "game states." Especially in regards to stack interaction. It's only bizarre if you're a retard who thinks tapping cardboard to win on turn 3 is what the game is all about.
>Simplifying these effects is way better for the game to have these types of cards function like they intuitively should
In essence, you're a newfag who shouldn't be playing MTG and are part of the reason why MTG has gone so far downhill. If stack interaction is filtering midwit newfag casuals like yourself, then they belong in the game. If anything, there needs to be more to filter more of you out.
