for me it's indecisiveness between which art skill i want to develop. i've already invested a year into 3D but prefer the look of 2D. even if I decided to go with 2d, i still have to choose between pixel or digital art and which one is more valuable in the long run for game development. like if i became really good at pixel art, it'll never look as good as digital 2D.

is it worth learning to draw with no experience for the purpose of asset generation in gamedev? i've posted this before but the current state of AI is demotivating.
i could spend a 2 years during my prime to get to a decent level but i still would need to make a game.
i tried pixel art again and it's too tedious and hurts my wrists.
if i really want to start digital art then i would need to invest at least $25 into a tablet so i don't develop carpal tunnel.
what should i do? every project i make is stuck in placeholder art hell but i don't have enough time to everything.
