>Furthermore, there isn't even any motivation you can get from Sonic achieving high feats because, again, that's only possible due to the convenient world he lives in.
Thus, Windnic is not inspirational and can never be. Simple as.
>I'm making it so Sonic shares the human nature of disliking doing hard things.
This isn't about feats, it's about the insides of him. Sonic can suffer, he can cry, he can scream in pain but even then, he'll just keep moving forward. Even if he has to die trying, he's stubborn and he doesn't give up.
This isn't about if he can handle it physically bc he's god or whatever, it's how even internally, he's someone who never gives up on his desire.
In reality, that sort of mentality might get you killed or hurt deeply but is it a reason not to believe in ourselves? Sonic's world is whimsical to give us hope, things always end well in there cuz it's a story. But the core of Sonic's stories always involve standing up for yourself and the people around you, opening your mind and doing good for the world.
These are like... real ideals. Real dreams. Dreams that we carry in the real world to cope with the hard times and push us to keep going.
Sonic can struggle, lose a fight, be a bum or even die trying in the real world BUT he simply cannot lose his mind because as a character, he embodies all those ideas. He's built different (his spirit.)
I do see him losing it if like his entire family got killed or something but other than that? nah
