Deadass I think they'd just never tell anybody if they pulled it off but that what they did with that dog's head is doable with people. I think progress on that scientific front continued in the dark. Bioethics and laws are one thing, actual plausibility is another. Like I straight-up think someone somewhere has done it illegally by now.
If we're talking about a cartridge it might even be *more* doable insofar as you're leaving more than a head. My only hangup is that he didn't bother to include any bone or marrow, but aren't the cartridges supposed to only exist for a limited amount of time anyway? I can't imagine he has these in his closet for years waiting to use them. Bondrewd probably runs through them at a rate consistent enough that "slowly dying" is good enough for a cartridge since he's gonna use it as a curse decoy anyway.

Really a 15-20 yo being friends with someone Riko's age isn't at all strange, especially if Nanch is on the lower end of that. It's not like they're separated by school grade levels, and technically teens are still "kids" even if they aren't children.
