Also, I'm tired of modern /v/. Half the threads on here are either AAA or gacha shit old /v/ wouldn't have pissed on if it was on fire. Shit that we used to lament gets defended now, games that were previously considered mortal sins against the medium have nostalgia threads. This place used to be a great site to find out about some obscure game nobody has ever heard of, start making repeat threads, make silly images, get a little community going, but that never happens anymore. Hell, shit like that is how stuff like STALKER and even Dark Souls became big in the wider consciousness of gaming. This place used to have a massive influence on the internet at large, now it really doesn't beyond decades old images like wojak and pepe being appropriated by every unoriginal cunt under the sun. We used to do community events and fun shit like the retro gauntlet, now with the sole saving grace of the Mario Retardy those are almost all gone (though to be fair the fucking janitors nuke that shit aggressively). We used to have fun off topic threads like the deep sea ones that were well of genuine discussion and made by people wanting to have a good time, not the tsunami of off topic PLEASE GET MAD AT THIS TRASH POST HERE HAVE SOME INTERRACIAL PORN TOO TO GET EXTRA MAD garbage swamping the entire board every single hour. This place is far busier than it was 15 years ago but it feels deader than ever. The internet isn't fucking fun anymore, and I have nothing to replace it.
