Getting subscribers is actually bad for your account because youtube explicitly doesn't deliver videos to subscribers.
That number itself is also mostly falsified as there are quite literally MILLIONS of dead accounts that Google could shamelessly assign as subscribers if they even wanted to approach something resembling being honest about that.
You want NON-subscriber views because that means you're more likely attracting new human clients or bots to sell to google's advertising clients as potential value.
The reason youtubers tell you to "like" and "subscribe" isn't so you "see more of their videos and share it with someone else" (Liked videos haven't been public for years now and were buried in playlists nobody uses for YEARS) the reason they tell you to do it is to generate basically fraudulent interaction data.
Liking, disliking, and subscribing effectively do literally nothing but create a point of data of "interaction" that Google can sell as "legitimate" traffic.

This one. The script is definitely AI. The amount of times he says "it's not just/it's about" etc, with the overly verbose adjectives and nouns, is unreal. I'm pretty certain the voice is AI geneated as well.

I made a comment calling him out on this and he left this huge response about how much it hurts because he put real effort into the video along with his gf. I then pointed out how his older videos had obvious AI voice tells and he deleted all my comments and hid me from the channel.

It's slop. Worst yet, he hearts comments praising him for being so soothing and tight in his writing. It aggravated me for a little while, until I realized this kind of shit will be propagated by NPCs forever now.

Actually that isn't the case any more. Subscriber count is more of a vanity mark. The algorithm now dictates and curates what gets seen more than other things. 2 recent shorts blew up in views recently. 2 months old and they aren't even particularly good content. One is AI slop of a pug rescuing a baby at 427m and washing your face is fun & easy for kids with 600m. If you want to make it on youtube, you really have to game the system because the algorithm will change so what worked in the past might not work now.
