Visited there while living in Korea. Beautiful country with wonderful people, but apparently the wages are dogshit and you'll be faced with xenophobia at every facet of daily life. Better to go as a tourist, I think, but know where you're going and respect the culture.

On an unrelated note, I've been rejected from every single English teaching job/position in Japan, despite having degrees and internship experience with a Japanese NGO.
