i definitely agree that toby will never make any relationships really explicit or mushy or anything but he canonically shipped undyne and alphys in UT so i expect something similar to be fully possible in DR

i just wish literally absolutely every single ship he writes wasn't gay (susie/noelle, nice cream/burgerpants, catty/bratty, tenna/spamton, RG01/RG02, maybe even monster kid/snowy or asgore/rudy, so on and so forth. why are the only straight relationships doomed to failure and misery like toriel/asgore, rudy/carol, king/queen and asriel/dess? Toby handles the lgbt stuff so well and doesn't come off as obsessed with it so much as 'just trying to be nice and inclusive so more people buy his game" but yet he literally seems completely incapable of writing even a single potential, non-toxic straight ship. like seriously what the fuck

like some anon said a few days ago though it's actually funny cuz the one single seemingly at least momentarily healthy straight ship, that's not even hard-confirmed yet, that happened years ago, that neither participant in is even proof-positive yet as active in the story in any way, and that even as i mentioned apparently ended badly or in tragedy, Asriel/Dess, is so fucking popular with so much art drawn of it, even by tumblr/twitter/blusky girls, it really makes u think, we've become so inundated with gay shit for years that the tiniest glimpse of an actual straight pairing that was maybe fun and happy for a time in the past really just makes everyone so happy, even the people most outwardly obsessed with lgbt rights and shit, really goes to show something about humanity and stuff

I love the guy but it's kind of Canon that he's the weakest of all the antagonists so far
